The loop mode infinitely records up to a specified number of minutes in a continuous loop while scrolling the data. At any time during the recording, the current data can be previewed and songs can be cut and saved as Windows Media (ASF), OGG-Vorbis or MP3-files.

Loop Recorder also supports conventional recording: Start the recording, then stop and save it.

Sometimes you may want to recording something when you are not there. Loop Recorder works great with the Windows System Agent for scheduled recordings at specified days and times.

With Loop Recorder, you can seamlessly record and save every song. While the first song is being saved, you cut the second one and the third is already being recorded (Multithreading technology).

With a fullduplex soundcard, you can easily record streaming audio from the internet radio: Switch your recording mixer to »Wave« or »What U Hear«, and Loop Recorder will capture everything from your RealPlayer or Windows Media Player.

You can insert a counter into the ASF-, MP3- or OGG-filename, so previous recordings will not be overwritten. This is especially usefull for automated recordings.

Recorded songs can be saved in the Windows Media (WMA), MP3 and OGG-Vorbis format. Additionally Loop Recorder supports Lame_Enc.dll and BladeEnc.dll compatible encoders for alternative MP3 encoding. See system requirements for details.

Loop Recorder is designed to run in the background while you work with other programs. It runsin the system tray and the CPU-Usage is very low saving your performance and resources for other tasks.

Loop Recorder has 64bit support to handle recorded audio data of up to 16 GB.

Loop Recorder's philosophy is to record more than you need rather than miss something. The Editor lets you cut the edges and save only, what you really want. Fade the edges, automatically normalize the level to 100% and save it as MP3.

At any time you can prelisten, cut and save parts of your current recording, while Loop Recorder keeps on running. So during one even infinite recording you can repeatedly cut and save every song, seamless or overlapping parts.

On startup, Loop Recorder can restore your input mixer settings. So you always get the best adjustment for the line, microphone or midi input. This will avoid clipping, enhance the quality and make recording easier.

Loop Recorder can be cotroled by command line switches, so it can be integrated into batch scripts.

The archive mode records 24 hours, 7 days and saves the audio in customizable intervals, e. g. hourly. The edges optionally overlap, so that the breaking points are covered. The Vox Archive Mode is designed to monitor rooms. Loop Recorder Pro starts the recording from a certain level on. When the loudness decreases, the recording is saved automatically. Different profiles are optimized for certain scenarios. A slowly increasing noise can be completely captured by a variable forward run. Other profiles cut "sharply", e. g. to monitor air traffic or telephone communication.

Files can be named after the date and time of the recording. You can insert the starting- as well as the ending date/time of the recording , each with year, month, day, hour, minute and second as macros.

When you edit your recording, the editor displays the real time of the current position.

Loop Recorder Pro can handle even larger amounts of audio data. With a FAT32-filesystem it can record audio data of up to 256 GB per session and with NTFS it is unlimited.

With Loop Recorder Pro you can record from more than one sound card simultaneously by starting multiple instances of the software on your PC. Multichannel sound cards that Windows displays as multiple stereo cards are also supported.
